Daffodils are my favorite spring flower, because they are the symbol of hope and symbolize the fight for cancer. My mom died of cancer in 1988. While she was alive we got her daffodils every year in March or April. When she died, I joined the board of ACS and helped coordinate annual drives for several years. I still like to buy a bunch to support their efforts.
