I am getting my house back together after the chaos of the holidays by using plastic bins to organize holiday decorations and other items; and I am putting big labels on each bin so I will know what's inside!
I'm going to get organized by packing decorations away and cleaning floors and counters.
@shespeaksup We always donate stuff we no longer need in Jan. Helping us clean up after the holidays !
Putting away all the Christmas decor, organizing and finding places for all the new toys, and cleaning every surface!
I took down all the Christmas decorations and was shocked to see so much dust. Thank goodness for my swifter duster, made it so fast and easy to get my house back to normal.
I engage my husbands help!
I just got the decorations down and will do a thorough cleaning then every thing is back to normal until next year
I have so much cleaning to do after the holidays. I cleaned all the holidays dishes, serving platters, tiers and tables ware and put everything away, I had the kids help me take everything off of the christmas tree and they took down the stockings. I put everything away in the christmas bins and after that we started cleaning the floors and moving things back to where they were. Pulling off christmas every year in my small apartment is a challenge but i do it,it's a tradition and i love being with my family for the holidays :)
I'll rally up an army of very long haired cats and hope they swallow up all the clutter and wrapping paper in my home! Then, I'll have an enlarged sardine garnished with catnip plattered on my neighbors' lawn to draw them out, taking the mess from the holidays with them!
I ask my family to pitch in with the clean up and change scented plug-ins throughout the house.
I put everything away then do my regular cleaning.
My plans for getting the house back in shape now that the holiday's are over is to clean the house from top to bottom, rearrange several rooms to be used differently and then I plan to relax.
Donate or give away anything we have not used in the course of the past year. Then we have room for the new items.
Maybe hire a maid. lol That would of been a good Christmas gift
I start with decluttering one room at a time. It is a long, long process. As I shop, I stop and think how I will use the new item and then try hard to remove something (donate, trash, or giveaway).
