The role of a lifetime? or career poison? Who knows what lies ahead for the actor who lands the movie role of the kinky billionaire in the screen adaptation of E.L. James' bestselling trilogy which has sold 70 million copies worldwide.

Universal Pictures announced that Charlie Hunnam, the actor who had originally been set to play the lead, was dropping out of the adult romance and would not be taking on the role.

1000% Ian Somerhalder! He has the eyes that I imagine, and the features that are described. I see him being able to play the professional, the dominant, as well as the joyous young man when he is around Anastasia.

I know that he has already gone on record as not wanting to play the role, but in my mind, Matt Bomer is the PERFECT Christian. I could see a woman going crazy over him and being willing to take the time to see who he is and maybe even go head over heels in love no matter what!

I go along with Alexander Skarsgard or Allan Haff. Although, it may be career suicide for the actor who plays in this role....oh and third would be Leo DiCaprio. Maybe Leo should be first...he has that suave 30 years old man thing going on and may just be perfect for this one..

I think Julian McMahon (of Charmed and Nip/Tuck fame) would be PERFECT as the lead. Sadly though, it seems he's disappeared from the spotlight since Nip/Tuck went off the air.
