I have lived in Suffolk County NY all of my life (Eastern Long Island). My favorite park would hands down be the Holtsville Ecology site. Not only doe it have a wonderful playground, it has beautiful olympic size swimming pools as well as an animal sanctuary. They have everything from sheep and goats to black bears! All of the animals were rescued but weren't able to be returned to the wild. I have been visiting this park since I was very little. It also has a few green houses so you can learn about horticulture, and a track. It's a great place to take the kids!

I have so many great memories of theme parks since I used to live in Florida. My favorite has to be Magic Kingdom. It truly is a magical place!

Our family's favorite park is one here in town, in an older area with lots of well-established, tall trees. They have benches situated under the trees beside the play areas for moms (and bags filled with snacks/drinks). The play equipment is amazing. They have all the usual suspects: swings, a climbing fort with a slide. But the best parts are the most unusual ones! A sand pit with an arch to climb on; poles with large circles that you can sit or stand and spin on; and, my son's favorite, a huge metal structure built in the shape of a buggy. You can sit inside, on top, in the driver's seat. Amazing mileage for a kid's imagination!

French Creek Reservation in Sheffield Village is beautiful and natural. The walks are sublime and peaceful and there are areas for play and rest. Wonderful park.

My favorite is Yosemite National Park. We went with a large group of people and having so much fun. We camped, cooked and sitting around singing with a big fire at night. I remembered fondly about sleeping in tents and talked all night with friends.

The Fort Wilderness Campground and Park at Walt Disney World was loads of fun when I was young! Riding the tram around the grounds was great. Feeding the squirrels was a joy, too. It brings back wonderful memories of my grandparents on this vacation.

My favorite memories are of a place in Philadelphia called Fairmount Park, our family would have barbecue picnics on the holidays and my father would take us there sometimes on the weekends just to hang-out and of course the ice cream truck was there to get a treat .
