I tweeted about this. I have have wonderful memories of taking my son to "Star Island Park" in my hometown of Rockport, MA. The park is so small and unknown, that we felt like it was ours. It is right on the harbor, so we did a lot of treasure hunting. I spent many a day with all the neighborhood kids, running all over the shore. We found so many treasures, that we did an exhibit at our local library.
Adventureland in Des Moines. It was the first real American amusement park I experienced and my first, but not last, roller coaster ride. We spent about 6 hours the first visit in the park and walked and walked, not wanting to miss any ride and trying roller coaster after roller coaster!
Forest Park in St. Louis, MO holds many great memories for me. My favorites though, include rolling down Art Hill in the summer time and racing my brother back up so we could do it all over again. In the winter, we would sled down that same hill.
my mom used to take me to a little park in iowa with a kiddie pool, cant remember the name but i remember being real mad when it was raining and i couldn't swim lol
The Bronx Zoo, so many animals to see. A full day of great fun.
My favorite park is definitely Epcot, love being there around Halloween time an doing the Food and Wine festival!!
Hershey Park............getting a free Hershey's miniature is all it takes!!
SILVER DOLLAR CITY...in Branson, MO I grew up going there every year; and now I take my kids. They love it!
Growing up, we would go to Fort Washington park all the time for picnics and just to walk around. I even learned to ride a bike there! We would walk down to the fort and play. My family and friends spent a lot of our childhood at that park. Sadly, it hasn't been maintained and isn't as nice as it used to be.
Everyone around here likes Kings Island or Cedar Point. I'm one that liked the park at Buck Lake Ranch back in the 60's. One of the rides swung people way out over the lake ! What memories !
my fav memories are taking my boys to knotts berry farm. while on 1 coaster my son was so scared snot flew from his nose all over the place it was nasty but so very funny
Probably Disneyland from my past (moreso the childhood years when it wasn't so commercialized and overcrowded and expensive!). I don't care for their "fast pass" ... just stand in line and enjoy!
The Vanderbilt Mansion grounds in Hyde Park, NY. I would go there all the time for picnics with my family on the riverside.
My favorite park is in Dallas it is called Tietze park and i use go there as a kid many times, playing on the swings, go to the swimming pool, just having fun as a kid with friends and family.
Carowinds in SC has everything to entertain kids of all ages.Love this place:)
