When I was growing up the Easter Bunny always hid our baskets somewhere in the house and led us to them with a trail of jelly beans starting at our bedroom door! It was a fun mini-hunt for the baskets and I plan to carry on the tradition when I have children of my own!

My parents used to hide our Easter baskets and leave clues hidden in Easter eggs for us to find the baskets, it was always a nice scavenger hunt to get the day started while mom made breakfast we searched for our baskets! I think this will be fun with my son when he gets older.

My grandmother would get the ENTIRE family together, 25-35 adults plus all the kids, take us all for Easter brunch. Making sure each of the grandkids was dressed up. And 2 desserts each if we wanted. My aunt would make a bunny cake with coconut fur and black licorice whiskers. My grandma passed a few yrs ago but we all still remember her commitment to family and the community, not only on Holidays like Easter but each day through out the yr.

After my kids go to sleep I get their Easter Baskets ready and hide them. I get a bunch of the plastic eggs and fill them with candy or change. I use the plastic eggs to make a trail going to their easter baskets. And my kids love this!

I think this might be an Armenian tradition, because I have only ever head of other Armenians doing it, but our Easter tradition involves Easter Eggs. After dinner, everyone carefully chooses their egg, then the challenge is on. Each person holds their egg with the pointed end exposed and hits it against someone else's. Whichever egg remains intact continues. Whoever has the last egg standing is said to have good luck for the year. :)

My family wasn't big on church, but I always made an elaborate treasure hunt for my daughter, ending with her Easter basket. When she was too little to read, the clues were just pictures, but as she got older the clues became harder and harder. One even entailed looking up a word in the Oxford English Dictionary. The search took forever, since each year I added more and more clues. The ending was bittersweet. She loved the basket, but hated for the search to be over!

Its tradition to have an Egg hunt for my cousins and nieces. We have an amazing time hiding tons of eggs and letting them run wild after them.. We've come to know from experience though that chocolate inside the eggs is not a good idea lol.. So we do some healthy options like goldfish and fruit snacks.

Even though my "kids" are older or grown, I still enjoy doing Easter baskets for them with a small something special with each one in mind. Together, we dye eggs and make "tomb" rolls to remind us of Christ's empty tomb.

I have long loved to bake homemade bread, and many years ago found a recipe for Easter doves. The recipe is not difficult, and forming the small balls of dough into dove shapes is very easy. Slivered almonds are inserted just before baking to give the look of a beak. The doves have a slight honey butter glaze, and are a bit sweet. For the past 10 or 15 years I have made these doves on Easter weekend and given them to neighbors or friends. One year, I made several batches and had them delivered to the local women's shelter. They are my tradition, and my gesture of spreading the peace and promise of Easter.

Every Easter my family has a tradition of hiding Easter eggs after our Easter lunch. The eggs contain candy and toys. I always put money in one egg as the big prize egg. The kids have a blast looking for the prize egg and just seeing what's in each egg. We also color eggs and open Easter baskets that are filled with goodies.
