“What’s Galentine’s Day? Oh, it’s only the best day of the year!” - Leslie Knope, Parks & Recreation
We love it! Amy Pohler’s character on Parks & Recreation created Galentine’s Day in an episode of the show in 2010 and we have been celebrating ever since! Galentine’s Day is the day before Valentine’s Day, February 13. It’s the day that you get together with your girlfriends and celebrate your friendship.
There are many great ways to celebrate…dinner with your friends, a spa day, cocktails at your favorite bar, gathering at someone’s house in your sweats with a bottle of wine. That’s the best thing about Galentine’s Day – you and your friends decide how to enjoy this holiday!
And we want to hear how you celebrate! Tell us how you and your friends will be having fun on Galentine’s Day and enter our giveaway below! One lucky winner will receive a box of HERSHEY® POT OF GOLD Assorted Chocolates and a $50 Walmart gift card.
One lucky entrant will be chosen at random to receive an 84-piece box of HERSHEY® POT OF GOLD Assorted Chocolates and a $50 Walmart gift card. We're celebrating with some chili cheese tater tots. Yum!
By having some chili cheese tater tots! Yum!
This would be amazing!
We celebrate by hang out, ording food and drinking wine!
I will love to celebrate valentine this year with dinner for two.
I will be volunteering so I will try to make it a bit more special for those that come into the food pantry
This year in particular I would love a Galentine's Day. I'm in a transitional stage of my life, not sure what the future will be. I let the gal's part of my life disappear, and now I see how I need to have the support of them. I've been lucky that I've reconnected, opened up, made some new friends. Several are also in this phase of life, so we help each other. A ladies night out with good food, good drinks, "sight-seeing" and plenty of laughs, maybe a few tears is what will get us through.
My Galentine lives too far away for a celebration! I will be sure to call her and wish her a Happy Galentine's Day and let her know that I'm thinking of her and how amazing she is. I think we have to remind our friends how much we love them and how lovely they are - we don't get told this enough!
I have no plans for galentines day
I don't celebrate with my friends. Honestly, never heard of Galentines Day.
We just celebrate being together. We do things as a family...just me, hubby, and son. We enjoy our time together.
We will be going to dinner.
I will be celebrating Galentines Day by watching a lot of Rom Com's on Netflix with my Bestie!
I will get together with my friends to watch a movie and have dinner!!
