Makes: 10 patties
Description: Ever thought of making your own black bean burgers at home? It is SO easy! It's even easy to make them healthy. This recipe is vegan, oil-free and mostly organic.
Ingredients:

15 oz cans organic black beans, drained
1
6 oz can organic tomato paste
1/2
medium onion, diced
1/2
medium bell pepper, diced (any color)
1
cup whole wheat flour
1
tbsp garlic powder
1
tsp sea salt
1
tsp chili powder
1/2
tsp cayenne powder
Instructions:
Mash black beans in medium bowl, then mix in all other ingredients. Preheat skillet to medium heat. Form batter into patties and cook 5 minutes on each side or until firm when gently pressed on.
*For a fun alternative to burger toppings, try serving with German mustard and arugula on whole wheat mini pita!
