Vegan, Oil-Free Black Bean Burgers

Ever thought of making your own black bean burgers at home? It is SO easy! It's even easy to make them healthy. This recipe is vegan, oil-free and mostly organic.
15 oz cans organic black beans, drained
6 oz can organic tomato paste
medium onion, diced
medium bell pepper, diced (any color)
cup whole wheat flour
tbsp garlic powder
tsp sea salt
tsp chili powder
tsp cayenne powder
Mash black beans in medium bowl, then mix in all other ingredients. Preheat skillet to medium heat. Form batter into patties and cook 5 minutes on each side or until firm when gently pressed on.
*For a fun alternative to burger toppings, try serving with German mustard and arugula on whole wheat mini pita!
