Near Pompeii, covered by Vesuvius ash, there is a observatory hidden from civilization until an earthquake reveals the doors. What is hidden there is not only many artifacts, but also the most amazing life story of all creation. Pollack seamlessly moves the story between the story of the past and the action of today. We see how our own history writes our future. We are given choices in our lives and how we answer these choices guides us to our future. However, we also learn that if we make a wrong choice, there are occasions in our future to correct those errors.
