This was an interesting movie. It makes you think what would I do if I was in that situation. I did find it to be a bit dragging and slow though.
Not sure how I felt about this movie.... it was raw and graphic, and very sad. If you're looking for a post-apocolyptic movie, I prefered The Book of Eli
It is a really good movie (staring Viggo Mortensen known by everybody from the Lord of the Rings-great performance in both movies). It is one more shockingly realistic version of the end of the world or at least of the human civilization the way we know it and describes struggle of a father and his son to survive physically and spiritually in this hell. It is very different from everything that I have seen until this moment.
Hard to watch, even harder to forget. The Road, starring Viggo Mortensen is a heartbreaking, yet life affirming story of a man and his son in a desolate post-apocalyptic world. In a world where the earth is dying, cold and brutal, the father is determined to take his son south, in the hope of finding a warmer, more livable climate. The love the father and son have for one another had me sobbing, it was so pure and beautiful. All fathers and sons should watch this movie together.
