These stuffed peppers are super easy to make and are delicious as a full meal. You can choose any color pepper you like. I like orange!
large bell peppers
lean ground beef
1 can (15 oz)
garlic finely chopped
shredded mozzarella cheese
Cut a thin slice from the top and bottom of the pepper. Remove the seeds and rinse. Cook the beef and onion. Drain the oil. Add rice, salt, garlic, and 1 cup of the sauce. Cook until warm. Heat your oven to 350 degrees. Stuff the peppers with the meat mixture and place in a baking dish. Pour the remaining sauce over the peppers. Cover tightly with foil and bake 10 minutes. Uncover and bake an additional 15 - 20 minutes longer. Before serving, sprinkle with cheese.
I make mine the same, but I substitute the white rice with brown, & I make my own sauce from a can of tomato soup, different spices, water, & beef boulion powder. They are delicious.
This looks so easy and so delicious. My husband has been wanting to try this but without cream of mushroom soup that some people use and this one is perfect it doesn't require it.Thanks
