I read this book when it was first released and I loved it. I was so excited to see they were putting it on t.v. I read the book again just so I could be refreshed. I wasn't disappointed. I like that Stephen King books made into movies/mini-series stay so true to the original story. I can't wait when I hear there is a new one coming out. I'd love it if there could be a sequel to this story.
I got the book 5 days before the season premier on TV. I was able to read it in 4 days - really hard to put down. What a lot of twists and spins. You think you are coming to the end and then something will happen and you are hooked for a few more chapters. I wish the TV show would follow the plot a little better.
I really loved this book. It's a huge book and I read it in a few days (lost some sleep, but it was worth it). I never found that the story lagged at all from start to finish. Don't be put off by the # of pages - I think it is one of King's best. This would be a great vacation read....
I loved this book so much! It's a huge book and a little intimidating at first glance, but this is Stephen King, right? Of King's more recent work, this is his best. I was sucked into this big right from the beginning and developed strong attachments to many of the characters. This would make such a great movie but I'm afraid they'd mess it up!
I absolutely loved this book. Stephen King is at the top of his game with this story. The characters are realistic if not quite likable at times, and it is easy for the reader to interject people from their own lives into the story itself. This book is full of Stephen King's irony and humor, along with several tender moments that tug at your heart a little bit. There is something in this book for everyone.
