My girlfriend's niece is 8months old and shes learning how to clap. Sometimes if you ask her to clap she does but sometimes she just waves her arms. It is so cute!

My 8 month old is learning to talk. We are trying to teach her how to say Hi and Bye. Now that she has mastered them pretty well she crawls around all the time telling every object she see Hi in the loudest high pitch voice. It is so funny. She said it over and over trying to get the object to talk back.
When my son was about 4 years old, he woke up not feeling well at all. The way he described how he felt was, " Mom I feel sloppy today" .

We were driving past a shaved ice shack in the middle of winter and my daughter says she wants one, I tell her that they are closed right now because it is too cold and she tells me "But Mom it is the perfect time to get one because then it won't melt."
The funniest ---OMG!!.......is when my son. At the age of 4. Emptied my purse in a restaurant. And started to name each of my items in my purse. I was caught 'off-guard' when he grabbed my personal hygiene item. And ask loudly what is the name of this 'stick-looking thing was?? ? When I turned over. It was a tampon...OMG...funny!!
When I turned 30 years old my son told me that he used to think I was young but now I'm like a grandma!

My 18 month old granddaughter's new word is PIG. Shopping one evening, she points to a heavy set woman and says, "PIG"
My youngest son tried to begin saying "I love you" at 18mos., but he could just say "Iyou" (eye-you). To this day, (13 years later) that's how our immediate family - and extended family - say or sign "I love you"... two letters: IU. It's almost like our secret (yet obvious) "code" of endearment!
My 2 year old daughter found an empty paper towel roll on the counter, she grabbed it and came up to me and shouted "Arrrrgh I'm a Pirate!"
