Dusty Bastian is the Owner/Editor of As Mom Sees It, which she began in 2010 after the birth of her daughter. She is the mom of a teen and a toddler and lives in northwest Ohio. She is engaged to be married, currently building a home, and loves meeting new people, spending time with her family, and traveling.

We caught up with her to find out more about her life and here is what we found out, in her own words.

I live in…. Northwest Ohio

My niche is… Family friendly product reviews & lifestyle.

How has blogging changed my life: Blogging has become my job, my main source of income, the reason I get to travel, the reason I’ve met so many amazing and creative people and has allowed me to enjoy time at home with my kids!

A brand I have loved working with: All of them! I don’t work with brands for which I don’t have some connection. My favorites have been Samsung & Rite Aid. Their PR team is unmatched.

When did I start blogging: In 2010, after the birth of my daughter and the loss of my job.

How I see the future of blogging/social media: It’s growing, for sure, and that’s awesome! Brands are starting to see more into the value of partnering with bloggers and competition creates opportunity.

Where I work: Right now, we’re building a home, so soon I’ll have my own office area. Right now, I’ve a dining table behind me ☺ The joys of working from home!

I am connected…. Constantly. Perhaps too much, but I’ve made a point to minimize it a bit.

When I’m stressed, I….. Sleep. Seriously, I’m the worst person to handle stress.

My favorite gadget is…. My Macbook. I’m not sure I could live without it.

My favorite travel destination is…. I love New York! Love. But I feel it may lose first place on my list once we head to Ireland for our honeymoon next year.

My favorite clothing brand is… I’m not really brand loyal. I wear what fits, what is comfortable, and what is affordable. Though I have a soft spot for Lands End.

I do all my shopping…. Online. I hate shopping.

My favorite TV shows: Castle, Fast & Loud, Chasing Life, Rookie Blue and anything HGTV.

My favorite movie: A Few Good Men, Pitch Perfect.

Coffee or tea: C-O-F-F-E-E.

I love…. My family & my friends.

I dream about…. My life now; there’s nothing more I could want. I’ve been through so much in my life and it would be impossible not to appreciate so much good that I have now.

What else I do: Play with my kids, travel with my fiancé, plan a wedding, build a home.
