Emilee Roberts is the owner and blogger behind Pea of Sweetness and co-owner of Sweetness Sisters Media. She's happily married to her best friend, Joey, who is a 2x cancer survivor and Disabled Veteran. She's a full-time, homeschooling mom to their 3 special needs kids who amaze, inspire, and humble her every day. In addition to blogging she is a freelance writer and mompreneur with a crafting/sewing business with the same name as her blog Pea of Sweetness.

We wanted to get to know Emilee better. Here is what we found out, in her own words.

Where you can find me: Twitter - Facebook - Instagram - Etsy - YouTube - Pinterest - Google +

I live in… Northwest Ohio. (It's pretty rural around here, so most people don't know this Micropolitan I live in called Findlay.)

My niche is… Christian lifestyle. A little bit of parenting, homeschooling, homemaking, eco-friendly living, and special needs.

I write when… The kids are in bed. I'm easily distracted. Once in a while I'll throw a few thoughts together in the car (when I'm a passenger, of course).

How has blogging changed my life... I have really gotten to connect with so many amazing people from other bloggers to great brands. Our family has been blessed with opportunities to try so many new things and, most of all, I love that in my sharing these things I can help families with different needs find things that will work for their families. I love that I get to help others while also helping support our special needs family.

A brand I have loved working with... How can I pick just one? I've had the opportunity to work with so many amazing brands. Cedar Point is definitely one of my favorites (and one of our kids' favorites, too!).

When did you start blogging... 2012.

How do you see the future of blogging/social media... I see a shift in the media we'll be using. Live video is becoming much more popular, and I think people like the personal touch video offers in general. I think seeing and hearing people's messages will continue to grow and make an impact and be favored more by the tech generation over written words.

Where I work... At home! Or on a mobile device when I'm out and about.

I am connected… All the time! I have to force myself to take media breaks, but sometimes you just have to get work done!

When I’m stressed, I… Pray.

My favorite gadget is… Oh my goodness I LOVE gadgets! My most used gadget is definitely my iPhone 6S!

My favorite travel destination is… I'd love to go back to the Bahamas some day!

My favorite clothing brand is… Faded Glory. I'm pretty simple!

I do all my shopping… When I'm bored (or we need groceries).

My favorite TV shows... Dr. Who, Fairy Tail and Sword Art Online. Sci-Fi and anime - I am admittedly a geek.

My favorite movie... I truly don't have a single favorite movie.

Coffee or tea... It's a toss up and depends on my mood.

I love… God and my family!

I dream about… Finishing my first book and praying it reaches those who need to hear the message.

Where you can find my writing... In addition to my blog, Pea of Sweetness, I am the Co-Owner of Sweetness Sisters Media. I am a freelance writer forFindlay Area Family and have had reviews published in The Old Schoolhouse Magazine. I've contributed to The Schoolhouse Review Crew, The Homeschool Post and Our Homeschool Forum. Plus, I've had posts featured on the websites of various brands I've worked with.

What else I do... I'm a homeschooling mom and homemaker, own a sewing and crafting business, dabble in direct sales, offer various web services such as VA services, social media and blog/website management, and am an Assistant Unit Leader for our local American Heritage Girls Troop. In between it all I'm usually fishing, gaming, or singing.

Causes I've worked with and made a difference via blogging about... Sharing information about (and resources for) various causes is important to me. Causes I have a heart for and share about are generally those I'm most familiar with - those that affect or have affected our family: Autism, Pregnancy Loss, Cancer (particularly men's health and testicular cancer), Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue, Sensory Processing Disorder, and Depression.
