Makes: 6 servings
Description: This is a great relatively healthy fall dessert with fresh organic apples from the orchard.
Ingredients:
6 Large
Crispy Apples
1/2 cup
Water
1/2 cup
Brown Sugar
1/2 cup
Cold Butter
1/2 cup
Granulated Sugar
1/2 teaspoon ea
Cinnamon, Nutmet, and Ginger
1/8 teaspoon
Ground Cloves and Salt
1/2 cup
Quick-Cooking Oats
3/4 cup
Flour (Rice)
Instructions:
Set Oven to 350
1. Peel apples, cut in quarters, and remove core. Stand apples on end in the tube of the food processor and slice thin.
2. Place apples in greased 8" sq. pan. Sprinkle with water.
3 Combine granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cloves, and salt, sprinkle over apples.
4. Beat brown sugar and butter, with fork. Stir oats and flour into brown sugar butter mixture. Sprinkle over apples.
Bake for 30 minutes or until apples are tender.
