The Good Neighbor Cookbook by Sara Quessenberry & Suzanne Schlosberg is a collection of 125 simple recipes that will get you cooking for specific occasions. This book is not organized like others, by dishes or courses or even ingredients. It's organized in a unique and fun way, sharing recipes depending on the event at hand. Here are the chapter titles: -Bringing Baby Home -Get Well Soon -Welcoming to the Neighborhood -Block Parties and Barbecues -Meet and Eat: Community, Religious and Business Gatherings -Novel Ideas for Book Clubs -Condolences Each chapter then shares recipes to make for each occasion, taking into consideration what the event is. How great is it to know that new parents need "Hearty Minestrone Soup with Potato Gnocchi"? It's a perfect recipe because you can easily double it and freeze a portion, so the new parents have something to eat at all times! Flip through the book and you'll appreciate the quick and easy reading layout, and although there are no pictures, there are illustrations throughout the book that will make your cooking and reading more interesting. Also throughout the book, tips and tricks for each occasion, as well as other recommendations and quick ideas. This is the perfect housewarming gift for new couples moving into new neighborhoods and looking to meet the neighbors! You'll find everything for salad dressings, rice dishes and protein meals, as well as snacks, desserts and beverages!
