This book read like I was reading a horrifying news story. It seemed too real to be fiction, which is what kept me enthralled by the book. The grim fascination with the story keeps you reading more and more. The only reason I give this book 3/5 stars is I prefer books that have you figure it out who the "villian" is, whereas this book reads from several viewpoints - the "detectives," the "villian," and the "victim" all at the same time. So that leaves the guessing game out of it.
