It gets the job done. You have to make sure it's oiled regularly otherwise you can remove the waffle in one piece.

I purchased my Presto Belgian waffle maker from Amazon about a month ago. I read all the reviews from other customers prior to purchasing. Most of the users gave the Presto an average rating of four stars. I figure it would be a great investment for under forty dollars. So far I used this wafflemaker almost every weekend. I like the fact that this wafflemaker can be easily stored upright thus saving valuable space. It's also easy to use and comes with a battery operated timer. I followed the instruction manual and used cooking oil to season the wafflemaker. The waffles came out easily even after the third batch. I accidentally poured too much batter and it spilt over the sides. I wiped off what I could and what I couldn't was cooked on. Although the instruction manual had suggested using cooking oil to remove the cooked on debris to avoid scratch the interiors, I let it cooled down and used a wet towel to soften and remove the cooked on excess. I used the basic waffle recipe from the instruction manual and cook the waffles for the prescribed four minutes. It came out a light golden brown. It was perfect. However, through trial and error I found out if you are adding sugary ingredients like chocolate or bananas, cook the waffles for a shorter period time to avoid a burnt appearance. I would suggest 3 to 3 and a half minutes. Overall, it's a decent machine for the price. It's fairly easy to use and clean up. Belgium waffles produced by this wafflemaker are about an inch thick. The cons include the battery operated timer. It would have been nice to have it powered by electricity but it's a minor issue. It would have been nice to have metal handles that were plastic coated instead of all plastic. It would make it seem sturdier. All Plastic handles I am not terribly fond of. Pros include the fact that it can be easily stored in an up-right position. Thus saving space. It is also light weight. Easy to use and clean up. I guess its worth the thirty five dollars that I paid for. I would give this product four and a half stars.
