I usually love OXO product designs, so this was very confusing for me. I guess I am not strong enough to use this to open my jars. I felt like I was damaging lids left and right, and oftentimes was not able to open anything at all. So I called my husband, and he opens everything for me with his hands.

If it weren't for this jar opener, I'd never be able to open jars of tomato sauce, fruit, pickles, etc.! You don't need super strong muscles anymore to get jars open with this device. It's very easy to use - just slip it over the jar cover and it grips the sides of the cover with little "teeth". Then turn the handle, and you'll be surprised to hear the jar pop open so quickly!
