I gave this 5 stars because it did gave a bit of shine to the ends of my hair, but in reality I have virgin hair, no hair dyes, heat styling, very little use of styling products, so my hair isn't damaged, but it is long, wavy and fine, so the ends will tend to dry out a bit between haircuts, and this serum does help them without the weigh down of many oils, especially if I use it when my hair is dry. If I had damaged hair or all my hair was dry I would buy this and I would recommend it.
