Perfect mild flavor!
A great ancient food, i thoughg Quinoa was a grain until i found out that Quinoa is the flower of the plant. I small balled shaped food with such big benefits for our health! I like Nature's Earthly Choice Quinoa for it's mild flavor.
Quinoa is a great way to add complex carbohydrates to your diet and it's a great source of protein too! It's an acquired taste so me sure to get creative. I usually cook my quinoa with chicken stock and add onions, garlic, salt and pepper. You can also add it to your salads.
This is a great side for your family, gluten free and high in protein. There are 7g of protein in one serving (1/4 c)! We eat it in stuffed bell peppers and as a bed to chicken. It also makes a great creamy casserole. It tastes a lot like plain pasta so be sure to dress it up as you would your spaghetti dishes.
Quinoa is a great substitute for rice. It is packed with fiber and certainly assists with your digestive process. Quinoa can be eaten with anything you generally eat rice with; stir fry, salad, etc. It has many healthy benefits and is low in sugar compared to white rice.
