Makes: 3 servings
Description: Simple and Easy Tex Mex. My momma made it for me and her mom made it for her, and her mother for her it always satisfys. Hearty filling and comforting. The most important item is the Wolf Brand Chili.
Ingredients:
1 can per 3-4 people
wolf brand chili
for frying
vegetable oil
2-6 per person
corn tortillas
for topping
cheese, shredded
for topping
lettuce, chopped
for topping
sour cream
for topping
tomato, chopped
for topping
onion, chopped
for topping
salsa
for topping
guacamole
Instructions:
Heat the vegetable oil over med high heat in a shallow small pan. In another pan or microwave bowl heat the chili. Once the oil is hot quickly fry one tortilla at a time. For only a few seconds until desired texture. I like mine firm but not crispy, they still flop.
One a tortilla is done, add it to your plate, and immediately top with chili - about two regular sized spoon scoops and cheese while another tortilla is frying.
Repeat as many times as you want, I like two but men in my family can eat 6. Once you have as many as you would like, add the rest of your toppings (tp your taste) to the very top on the last layer. Sometimes I just leave the extra toppings off and use salsa on top.
For every 3-4 people add another can of chili. This depends on how much chili your family likes.
