I bought this because I remember my mother and folks from Africa use Shea for hair and their skin . I also have heard pregnant ladies massage Shea butter on their bellies to prevent stretch marks. I bought it because I need an all purpose skin care product that was organic and free from dyes perfumes and irritating chemicals. I used Shea in combination with olive oil and lavender for my hair skin and feet. It has improved my complexion and my dryness of my skin particularly my heels and elbows and also my hyper-pigmentation from acne scarring. My skin breaks out and leaves dark acne scars I have been using Shea on my face after I have cleansed and toned my skin. My blemishes are fading . It comes solid like wax in texture but it goes on smooth. My 1lb tub has served me well. I have made lotions, hair moisturizer and skin care all in one setting. I like to mix it up with olive oil and a hint of lavender to make like a souffle for my body and my neck area. I will continue to stock on this stuff.
