Known for her fashion risk-taking and unique style, E!’s Fashion Police host Kelly Osbourne recently announced the launch date for her clothing line. Fans of the style maven and daughter to rocker Ozzy can expect to see Osbourne’s designs in a wide variety of sizes as she has made it a priority to include plus-sizes in her new line.
People reports about Osbourne’s new line called “Stories…by Kelly Osbourne”. Osbourne explains how she decided to call her collection Stories after going through her closet and realizing that most pieces she owned came with a story. She says, “I believe that every time you wear something, you have a story of where you wore it, whether it be good or bad. What made me realize this was when I was going through my closet and I was like, ‘Oh, I wore those shoes on stage every day when I was in Chicago,’ and ‘I wore that dress to my friend’s funeral,’ and, ‘Oh my gosh, I wore that skirt on a date and it still has a stain on it from where I fell off the steps because he tried to kiss me, I didn’t want to kiss him and I broke my wrist. I can’t get rid of that.’ Like, there are all these funny emotional attachments.”
The line is sure to make more than a few fans happy as it features sizes up to 24 and is relatively affordable with pieces starting at $55 and going up to $170. Last year Osbourne vowed to make her line plus-size friendly saying, “I’ll never make anything that won’t be translated to plus-size as well. Because everyone deserves to wear fashion.” She also won’t be raising prices for larger sizes. Osbourne explains, “In my research, I’ve found that the prices go up after size 10 and that really hurts my heart — it’s not fair! So with my line, the size 2 will be the same price as the size 24.”
