Karen Marie Moning has written a masterpiece of suspense, romance, paranormal intrigue, and adventure, as small town southern beauty Mackayla Lane travels to Dublin, Ireland to discover the cause of her sister's death. She meets and begins a challenging rivalry/mentorship with the dark and mysterious Jerico Barrons, owner of a most mysterious bookstore. Recruited by Barrons to search for a dark book of pure evil that may be the key to her sister's murder, Mackayla begins a quest that has her coming into contact with fae from a dark realm that have the power to turn her into a sex maniac just by looking at them. Once she learns to somewhat resist the lust triggering fae, she meets other women with paranormal powers similar to her own that may or may not be on the same side of a fairy war which has been going on for quite some time. Reading this book, which ends on a delicious cliffhanger, will leave you yearning for more. And the good news is . . . there is more. This is the first book of a five book series and, believe me, it's all totally worth it. I haven't enjoyed (and become addicted to) a fictions series this good in a long time.

I am In LOVE with this series! It is my favorite series hands down. The last book in this series comes out mid jan 2011 and I am on the edge of my seat! Karen weaves together this amazing world with characters that you fall head over heels in love with. Mac is the typical southern girl who we see change into this new strong women. I dare you NOT to fall in lust and want your very own Barrons!
