Not only did this book not my socks off with the graphic design, it has allowed me to move so far beyond the basic spaghetti and a jar of ragu. Each shape is highlighted with complimentary sauces as well as the history and region that it came from. From Agnolotti to Ziti, every shape is covered and the sauces? Oh my, I have been slowly working my way through them, but so far, the gnocchi has been the fan favorite. If you really want to master Italy, this is the way to do it, one dish at a time.
