Homemade Beef Stroganoff

Makes: 6 servings

Description: I made this 2 nights ago just on a whim, it turned out great. My fiance loved it..Its really simple and it feeds alot.

Ingredients:
1-2 lbs  Ground Beef
1/8-1/4 cup  All Purpose Flour
1 can  evaporated milk
1/4 tsp.  garlic powder
1-2 Tb  parsley
1 tsp  chives
1/4 tsp  minced onion
1 tsp  salt and pepper
1/2-1 tsp  cream of tarter
1/2 bag  egg noodles

Instructions: In large pot, brown ground beef on Med to Med/High stirring occasionally to break up into smaller pieces. When hamburger is completely browned, leave "grease in bottom" of pot. Sprinkle AP flour over meat, use about half to begin with to make sure you have enough liquid in the bottom to absorb all the flour, stir meat to make sure all the flour is now wet and coats meat and bottom evenly. Add more if needed ( the more flour you use the more liquid you will have to add to thin it out)
Go ahead and start boiling your egg noodles so they are ready to add to the mix.
Cook 2-3 minutes but do not burn flour. Then add 1 can evaporated milk or 1-2 cups regular milk. Add garlic powder, parsley, chives, minced onion, and salt/pepper. I wish I had had cream of tartar to add but i didn't but you can add some. Start stirring mixture and it will begin to thicken. If it thickens too much you can add more milk or just water, but add a little at a time. Let cook about 5 mins on med/lo heat. You should see bubbling occasionally. Stir so the bottom doesn't burn. You should have around 2 inches of liquid, more is ok you just don't want your sauce too think or thick, and remember after it cools it will start to thicken. Then take you egg noodles you just cooked and add them into the sauce, If there isn't enough sauce for the noodles or you find it too think just add a little more liquid.and let it mix in. Let mixture continue to cook for 5 mins and then take off stove. serve with whatever sides you want. this makes around 6 servings depending on your serving size
