Makes: 15 1/2 cup
Description: Cole Slaw Salad with a twist. Apples, cranberries, mandarin oranges and almonds. It is always a hit with family and friends
Ingredients:
1 bag
Cole Slaw Mix ( pre shredded cabbage and carrots in the bagged salad section)
11 oz can
Mandarin Oranges, cut each segment into 3 pieces
1
Crisp apple, diced with skin
1 cup
Craisins
1/2 to1 cup
Honey Roasted Sliced Almond, Almond Accents in the produce section
1 cup
Poppy Seed Dressing, I like Maries dressings next to the bagged salads
Instructions:
In a large mixing bowl add diced apples, mandarin orange pieces, craisins and poppy seed dressing then mix to coat fruit. Add cole slaw mix and almonds to fruit mixture and mix till dressing is evenly distributed. Chill about Three hours and mix before servings . To garnish sprinkle a few almonds on top.
To make this into a light meal add 2 lbs diced grilled chicken.
