I enjoyed this book very much. I found it interesting the conflict between the English and Native Americans. Takes some getting used to though.

I found this novel a little difficult to read. Told in the first person narrative of a 17th century woman gives a good depiction of the time, however. She tells of the first Native American graduate of Harvard University but I think the story is more about the narrator than anyone else. I liked Geraldine Brooks' other books a little better.
