My kids and I cherish this book. We always read it together. This book was given to my oldest son by my brother in law who's past away. I love the story of this book and how unique it is.

This is an overlooked Dr. Seuss book which is definitely a classic. The illustrations and text showcase the unique storytelling of Dr. Seuss. The story of Yertle the turtle shows young children the dangers of wanting too much too soon and the consequences of ignoring the advice of others. I definitely recommend this book as a teaching aid for children to help them think about a decision before rushing ahead full steam.
