Blueberry Oatmeal Squares

Makes: 12 bars

Description: Oatmeal bars with a blueberry filling

Ingredients:
1 cup  brown sugar
1 cup  flour
1 teaspoon  baking soad
2 cups  rolled oats
1/2 cup  butter or margarine, melted
12 oz.  blueberry cake & pastry filling

Instructions: Combine brown sugar, flour, baking soda and rolled oats (the old-fashioned kind, not the quick-cooking kind). Add melted butter and stir until blended. Spread half of mixture in a greased 11" x 7" (or 12" x 8") pan. Press mixture with the back of the spoon. Spread blueberry filling over oatmeal mixture, being careful to touch the very top of the filling while spreading. If you press too far down, you may pick up some of the oatmeal mixture. Sprinkle with remaining mixture over top of filling. Again pat down with the back of a spoon. Bake in a preheated 375 degree oven for 20 minutes. Cool, then cut into bars.
