Depends on the situation I was so excited about this purchase but am very disappointed Cons: Suction: The suction is great when the vacuum is fresh off the charger. As you continue to us it, the suction gets weaker as the batter dies, which is expected, but the life expectancy is about 5-8 minutes Pet Hair removal: I purchased this because we have TWO cats that shed and I wanted something that would clean their pet hair off of the couches and their cat tree. I am very disappointed, it does NOT work well with cat hair. Depends on the surface: The vacuum works well depending on the type of material. The vacuum would possibly work well on suede or softer material. Our couch is renewable cotton and it does NOT suck up any of the cat hair from it.
