Makes: 1 pan
Description: Cobbler is super easy to make!
Ingredients:
1/2 cup
Butter
1 Cup
Self Rising Flour
1 Cup
Sugar
1 Cup
Milk
2 (16 oz)
cans of sliced peaches in heavy syrup (or favorite fruit)
Instructions: Preheat Oven to 350 degrees. While oven is preheating, melt the butter in your cobbler pan (9 x 13 inch pan) that you are going to use in the oven. While butter is melting in the oven, get a bowl and whisk together the Flour, Sugar and Milk. Take the melted butter out of the oven and pour mixture in the pan with the butter. Spread peaches (or your fruit of choice) including the syrup, evenly into the pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes or until turns golden brown. Let it cool and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Serve with vanilla ice cream.
I second this recommendation. If you layer the peaches and syrup on top of the batter before putting it in the oven, then the batter rises above the fruit during cooking, resulting in that dappled effect that is so neat when you take it out of the oven.
So delicious and easy to make!
