This is a very informative book, especially for this time of year. Alice Waters is the acclaimed chef and owner of the well know "Chez Panisse" restaurant, in California. She has been growing the produce she uses in her restaurant, for years. This book lists almost every possible vegetable and herb grown, along with the typical growing season, facts about each and recipes for each. Ihave belonged to a CSA (community supported agriculture) for 3 years, now. I received this book for Christmas, and have found myself looking at it each week, after picking up my produce. It's definitely been my most read and used, out of almost 100 cookbooks.
