    Wait staff only earn $2.13 an hour in Kentucky. Not only do they have to pay taxes on their tips but they must split it with the bussers, hostess and bartender. They work hard for their money so always tip well.

    I always start my tip at 20% and go up from there my grandmother always said if you can't afford at least a decent tip STAY HOME!!!!

    I try to leave a tip, but sometimes the waiters are just plain out rude and act like they don't care ifyou need more than 1 refill of tea. In that situation, I honestly don't ever leave my normal amount.

    I always leave 15%. Extra if i believe they went above and beyong to satisfy me. I've been a waitress and know this is how they make their money.

    I will leave more if the service was really good!
