    Replace it with computer programming.

    I never right in cursive so to me it's not necessary.

    It needs to be taught, it is necessary. The art of the hand written note is still very powerful, very impactful and very much appreciated. How would anyone manage with a power outage, or loss of network, or loss of batteries and back up for any of our electronics? It stimulates a part of the brain that otherwise is not used when we write, and cursive writing especially is the most fluid form of writing in the English language, which further allows the creativity to flow. Those who write well are better enabled to think and speak well.
