Okay, all of the answers use the word we. It is me that has no self control and eats all of the candy :)
I like salty stuff more that is why the candy last so long in my house.
My child does not trick or treat for the sake of safety. Rather, we buy the candy he likes and hold a candy hunt. Especially good for cold Halloweens like tonight and safe.
We buy one or two large bags of candy. We give each trick or treater one piece of candy, some halloween stickers and depending on the age of the trick or treater, we save happy meal toys, things from goodie bags at car shows, etc., that we either have too many of or don't use..key chains, sunglasses, can cozies, insulated mugs, combs ,pens, pencils, rulers, tire guages, etc. I'm not a big eater so I get happy meals quite often and save the toys for the trick or treaters...they love getting these extra surprises! Plus, they are getting something fun that won't rot their teeth!
I love halloween candy a little too much! This why I have toothache now.
Ration-ration-ration! One year at Easter I got a chocolate bunny. I ate a tiny slice when I got the chocolate cravings. That bunny lasted one whole year! My family teased me about that poor bunny in the fridge. Lol
I'm using our candy as "potty training treats" lol! It works tho!
