My daughter is grown, so "back to school" doesn't affect me as it used to. While she is still in school finishing up her Master's degree, it's not the same "back to school" routine as it was when she was a child, living at home.

Thankfully, my kids are grown and it makes no difference at all when school starts back up!

the holidays were fun my kid stayed up all night doing stuff he did not get to do during the school year, so he is not liking having to go to bed "early" then getting up early to go to school.

Getting back into the school routine is always a challenge around here. Even if we start a couple weeks before school begins, no one really WANTS to stick to it, so we find ourselves scrambling a little the first couple of weeks. I think the routine, once in place, makes for a smooth-running household!!

Thankfully, my kids are now grown. I remember the running around seeking out school supplies, buying new clothes and shoes. They wanted to fit in, make sure everything was 'Cool' enough for school. I must say I do miss those days, seems like it all flew by so fast. I really did not dread the fact, looked forward to hearing about what they did, at school.
