    We usually go out as a family once per week and I usually take me kids once a week

    It my husband and myself so we eat out two or more times a week.

    Most restaurants sell average food. I'm a good cook, so if I go out I want something special that I don't cook at home, or won't because it's too time-consuming. The really fine restaurants are too expensive for regular visits, on my budget anyway.

    We go out once a week if that, it gets costly with 5 kids.

    We try to limit dining out, it can add up and it's nice as a treat on occasion. I'd rather put together a home cooked meal.

    My husband and I have a date night without our kids at least one night a week. It is an excellent way for us to talk without 5 children eavesdropping and spend some alone time together.

    With a family of five it is a special occasion when we go out to eat, usually amounts to about once a month. Even when we do go out, we hit the kid friendly restaurants that send coupons or have 'kids night'. I cook everyday and my husband cleans up so we tag-team meal time.

    I enjoy the whole experience of cooking a creating something delicious. (Except the dishes afterword, argggggg!) So we eat out about once a week and I usually order something I haven't tried yet that I could possibly recreate in my own kitchen.
