The build up to the actual race as in the horse picks etc etc.

Just my opinion but I'd rather watch the KC Royals go for the World Series again tyhis yr, it's been 26 yrs. to long. Love horses though.

I love the entire day (any race day really) If you have ever had the chance to be at the races..it's literally an entire day of fun, randomness, and memories!

I don't know a whole lot about horse racing. I do love to see what people wear. :)

I love the tradition, and the beautiful horses themselves. I admit though that I have not watched in years and have noticed that as I've gotten older my feelings about horse racing in general have changed. When I was younger it was my absolute passion, and my dream was to get into the training business. Now I sort cringe about it all and fear for those animals.

I am SO excited! I will be attending my first ever Derby party this year, they make a BIG deal out of it. The Mint Julep Jubilee is going to be a blast! I was so excited to order a lovely spring dress to wear but super sad that I couldn't find a hat in my price range that would match my dress. Personally I'm all about seeing the hats! That is my favorite part of the whole day!
