Due to security, insurance, and safety concerns, my workplace prohibits any and all personal guests at work.

I work at an ER in the city of Chicago.......I would love for all kids to sit in an ER & observe for a few hours. Show them what drugs, alcohol and underage sex can do to you!!

Children all grown up now. Would take them to work many years ago. Think it is a positive experience for children to see just what parents do every day.

I work in a school and my kids already see how it is at my work. Not only that but this time of year is all kinds of state testing. Some of those are test that are required by the State of Oklahoma that high school kids pass in order to graduate. Since my duaghter is a junior she needs to take and pass those test.

When I worked out of the home, I did participate in taking my child to work, and he enjoyed it as did I. But now that I am a stay at home mom, I feel that they should be in school, and I don't know anyone that has the type of job that would allow them to take a child in for the day. I do think it's a great oportunity for the kids though.

I've taken both of my kids to work with me several tmes over the years. They think it's "boring" because I work on spreadsheets all day. I'm sure if the could miss a day of school for it, they wouldn't mind. : )

My daughter will be starting Kindergarten in the fall - and I teach high school. Even though she won't be in high school for several years, bringing her to work with me tomorrow is a great way to show her how you're supposed to act in school and start exposing her to all the different teachers, classrooms, lunchroom, etc. She loves it!
