What do you think of this diet? What aspects would you follow?
Yes, it sounds really healthy (6.0%)
I would adopt some parts of it, but not everything (68.7%)
No way, I like my food cooked (25.5%)
I love fresh veggies, but I do not think that is all I could eat.
It's nice to mix it up every now and then and I definitely understand the benefits of going meatless...
I would follow some of it like the fruits & veggies I am not so sure about the unprocessed food
I can honestly say I have done a raw food diet in the past and the results were amazing. Most people notice weight loss, but for myself, the amount of energy I had was considerable and fine wrinkles disappear because the body is rehydrated and receiving the nutrients it needs directly from food. You have to be sure you are eating a well balanced diet even its raw. As a lot of people will say it is hard to maintain, especially in colder climates (which I'm in). Now I eat seasonally, but still maintain some of the raw food diet in my lifestyle.
I could only do it short term. Not forever.
I think raw food diet is not safe. I would think you can really get sick from eating raw food. I don't think eating raw chicken or meat or egg is very good. I love my food cook very will. I don't even like when I still see red watery blood still in my food. I would put it back to recook it. that just me.
I have been practicing a plant based diet (vegan) for 1 month now, and I feel amazing! I believe the raw food diet is also plant based, so there are no concerns about eating raw meat and dairy products.
The raw food diet is completely vegan (plant based only) but takes it slightly further by allowing either eating raw veggies or only the heating of them or sprouted grains, soaked nuts and seeds to around 118 F. Sprouting grains and soaking nuts and seeds allows them to be more digestible and transforms them from a dormant state to basically a plant form with all the micronutrients intact. Things like oils are allowed if they are either coconut oil or a cold pressed expeller oil (some olive oils are cold pressed). Even chocolate is allowed, just as its raw cacao (its bitter, but great in smoothies).
