Aliza Freud, Founder and CEO

 

Aliza is a recognized expert on the women’s market as well as word-of-mouth marketing, speaking frequently at industry conferences, forums and with the media.

 

Before founding SheSpeaks, Aliza was an executive at the American Express Company’s Global Advertising and Brand Management group and led global brand enhancement initiatives. In her 10 years at American Express, Aliza earned multiple patents for new financial and membership card services.

 

Aliza holds an MBA from Columbia Business School. She is also the mother of two and is a Founding Luminary Circle Member of Step Up Women’s Network, a non-profit organization dedicated to developing the next generation of female philanthropists.

  

 

Fiona Pietruski, Chief Marketing Officer

 

Fiona Pietruski joined SheSpeaks at the company’s launch in 2007 and plays a pivotal role in developing the SheSpeaks platform, network, content and client programs.

 

Fiona has over a decade of experience in all aspects of global online product development, launch and marketing for banking and financial products. Fiona worked for two years in Japan before returning to Marubeni Corp. in London. A move to HSBC Bank increased her online focus with the launch of internet banking. She held key roles leading strategy and influencing internet banking, online products and the global brand online. As an executive in Global E-Business she launched a co-branded strategic payment product with Yahoo! and championed strategic relationships, search and online best practices globally to significantly increase global online revenues.

 

A British national with a BA in Economics, Fiona moved to the U.S. in 2004 and is married with two children.

 

 

Josh McKay, SVP Strategic Development

 

Josh McKay has over 15 years of experience in ecommerce, innovation, technology, and finance. As the SVP of Finance and Technology, Josh manages the SheSpeaks platform and guides the growth of the SheSpeaks business.

 

Prior to SheSpeaks, Josh worked in the Growth Ventures group at Citi, where he for developed and launched disruptive new business concepts in partnership with Citi consumer business around the world. Before Citi, Mr. McKay held a number of strategy, technology, and strategic equity roles at American Express.

 

Josh has a BA in Anthropology from Wesleyan University, and an MBA from Columbia University. He lives outside New York with his wife, two daughters, and a Labrador that doesn’t like to retrieve.

 

 

 

Carol Milliron, APR, SVP Client Engagement

 

As the head of Client Engagement, Ms. Milliron has conducted WOM campaigns for clients across industries. Carol helps clients create word-of-mouth and sampling programs that spark women’s interest, obtain candid feedback, grow word-of-mouth awareness, and build long-term brand advocates.

 

Carol joined SheSpeaks from Zeno Group, where she was a leader of the agency’s "Speaking Female" practice. While at Zeno Group, Carol focused on consumer clients in the packaged goods, retail and food and beverage industries, and her experience includes product launches, grand openings, issues management and media relations.

 

Carol holds a BBA in Marketing from Emory University. She earned her APR (Accredited in Public Relations) status from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) in 2001. She is an active member of PRSA and a past president of the Food and Beverage section. She is also a member of the Word of Mouth Marketing Association (WOMMA) and serves on the Education Council.

 

 

‪Ann Laskowski‬, Community Manager

 

Acting as concierge to the SheSpeaks community, so-to-speak, Ann is a passionate advocate for our members. Managing emails that are sent to us at info@shespeaks.com and working directly with our members via our discussion boards is her primary focus. Ann also communicates with members via Twitter and Facebook all while responding to a range of requests having to do with all things SheSpeaks.

 

 

Ann came to SheSpeaks after having a couple of years away from the work force to be with her family. Her background lies in sales and service within the IT and legal services industries. Ann’s strength has always been building relationships.

 

Ann is happiest when filling her cup to the rim. She loves the busy life she leads as wife, mom to three, part-time professional, runner, volunteer and friend. In her nearly non-existent down time Ann loves to take cooking classes, study interior design or decide what project to get involved in next.

 

 

 

‪Emily Morgan, Program Manager‬

 

Emily is a part of the member engagement team; communicating with SheSpeaks members via email, social media outlets, discussion boards, and surveys. Emily works to ensure programs are successful and enjoyable for the members involved, while meeting client goals. She also works on the production of the SheSpeaks blog.

 

 

With a background in web start-ups, Emily is used to working on a variety of tasks from writing copy to building social media marketing strategy and improving user experience. She was a founding team member of Muckety.com and also worked for FarmPlate.com and ePodunk.com.

 

Emily is a regular participant on volleyball and bar trivia teams and is also teaching herself how to cook.

 

 

‪Gabrielle Horowitz, Director, Member Creative‬

 

As Director of Member Creative, Gabrielle develops creative programs and formulates design concepts that advance brand strategy and meet client objectives. Gabrielle sets expectations and standards for the creative team, and manages art direction, design and production of projects.

 

Gabrielle joined SheSpeaks, Inc, from a non-profit and agency background where much of her work entailed creating engaging visual communications media. Gabrielle holds an MA in Publication Design specializing in graphic design and creative writing from the University of Baltimore, and a BA in Communication specializing in public relations from the University of Maryland, College Park.

 

When not at SheSpeaks Gabrielle and her dog Casori (ie the office puppy) specialize in getting lost in the city and taking turns finding the way home. On her last vacation Gabrielle backpacked through SE Asia, rode an elephant, and then tried to bring it home with her. She is an avid cook and creates a unique new soup every week, none of which have yet been featured in the NY Times.

 

 

‪Samuel Snider-Held, Product Manager‬

 

Samuel works on and maintains the site design and user interface. His duties lie in designing the site layout and researching new technologies to incorporate into the SheSpeaks website.

 

 

Sam has a background in philosophy of mind and fine art. He is an Artist-Programmer whose interests lie in artificial intelligence and artificial life.

 

In his spare time, Samuel is an avid sci-fi reader, movie fan, and likes to work on programming projects.
