I'm pretty sure this is a classic (It is a classic, right?). This was probably the first book I learned to read and------ Nope, never mind. Green Eggs & Ham was my first book. Cat in the Hat is still a bit too challenging. Rhyme schemes are fabulously Seussian, and the pictures are so perfectly perfect. I have loved this book since when I was a kid. In fact, I'm pretty sure I still have a copy of The Cat in the Hat sitting somewhere on my bookshelf, for those little emergencies that occur during babysitting sessions. Seuss is and will forever be the best children's author on the block.
