How do you pick which products I'll review? Edit
We look at your profile answers and select the products, services and content we think will be the most relevant and interesting to you. For example, if you're interested in beauty, you would be a match for makeup and hair product reviews. -
How long does it take to review a product? Edit
Tests typically run over the course of several weeks. Within that period of time, your role as a tester is to test the product within your daily routines and then complete an online survey with your honest thoughts and opinions about the product. The surveys typically take 15-20 minutes to complete. -
Do I have to send the product back when I am done testing it? Edit
No—this is one of the best parts! As a thank you for reviewing, you get to keep the products you test. -
How often will you contact me? Edit
We will contact you every 3-4 months. However, that also depends on what you are interested in testing. Based on the profile you complete, which you can update at any time, we will review products as they become available for testing and match them against your interests. Whenever we have a match, we’ll get in touch with you to see if you are interested in participating in the SheSpeaks test. If you’re not interested, simply do not respond to the email.

What can I do to participate in more tests? Edit
Since only a limited number of members can take part in each test, we needed to create a system for choosing participants to invite. We try to be fair to all of our members old and new, while still getting our clients the best available group for the honest feedback and genuine recommendations that they deserve.
Here is a list of some of the things we look at when we invite members to be in a test, including ways that you can boost your chances…
We love members who really want to be a part of our team. Yes, we understand that you are a busy woman, and we certainly don't want to add any more stress into your life! But we do appreciate members who engage with the site for showing us that they really want to have their voices heard. You can be a more active member of the SheSpeaks community by:
- making sure your profile is completely filled out
- responding on our blogs
- voting in our polls
- creating or commenting on reviews in Do Tell or Special Edition
- posting in our discussion boardsThe more we know about you, the stronger the relationship can be: If you are not a fan of beauty products or you don’t have children, we likely wouldn’t invite you to test beauty products or items for children. Make sure your profile is up-to-date and truthful about who you are and what you like.
Completed feedback is important. Testing the products is just a part of the fun. Don’t forget to then complete your surveys to tell us what you thought! Your honest feedback is what our clients most want to hear.Longevity plays a part. We try to mix it up – welcoming new members to SheSpeaks, while at the same time, appreciating the loyalty of our long-time members.
Everyone deserves a rest. We would hate to be that annoying company who bombards you with emails all the time. So we try to space out our tests to give members a break in between. That way, you also have more time to think about your survey answers and discuss with other members in that test. -
Why wasn't I invited to join a particular test? Edit
While we wish that we could invite everyone who asks to be in every test, this is just not possible. Unfortunately, we can only ask a limited number of SheSpeaks members at a time. And while some of our tests are available to a large number of women, others are targeted to specific groups. To identify possible participants, we use what you have told us about yourself in your profile and within the SheSpeaks community. Stay active in the SheSpeaks community and we will know that you really want to participate and share your opinion on the latest products.
We also have resting periods so we can space out the tests you are invited to over the course of the year.
We thank you for your patience. And please be assured that more tests are always on the way!

Why Haven't I Received Any Invitations Yet? Edit
It is possible that we have sent you an invitation but your email server has misinterpreted it as spam and filtered it away from your inbox. (Oddly enough, it may still have let other SheSpeaks emails through.) So make sure you add info@shespeaks.com into your address book or your email safe list. If you have any questions about how to do this, please send us an email at info@shespeaks.com and we will be happy to help you.
Note: if you ever click on your spam report button for a SheSpeaks Email we will never be able to send you another email about a test or other member information. If you do not want to participate in a test – just delete the email.
If it turns out that your spam filter is not to blame, you can find more information about how we choose members for tests in the section above called "What Can I Do to Participate in More Tests?"
