Light weight and easy to maneuver.

Reviewed by dida (June 26, 2007 8:32 PM)

Pros
Convenient and Easy to use

Cons
Doesn't have as much storage space as I'd like.

Approximate Cost
$175.00

I really like this stroller. It's easy to get in and out of the car and maneuver through stores and streets. My daughter seems to find it comfortable to sit and sleep in. It's also easy to fold up and tote around on your shoulder if needed.

I love how lightweight and compact this stroller is. It doesn't take up the entire trunk of my car and it's so easy to unfold. It's also a lot sturdier than some of the other lightweight strollers I tested. The handles are also higher which is great when hubby is pushing.

Maclaren is a great option for taller parents and taller kids. My son was hitting the top of his head on the canopy with the Bugaboo and he is only 2 yrs old. Also, my husband who is on the tall side pushes this stroller without having to hunch over. It pushes very easily and it is easy to fold. I've had no problems with the wheels and I use this stroller quite a bit!

My only caveat is the customer service is not the greatest. My fabric had gotten pretty roughed up in the wash and I called to let them know. Basically, I still use it but the fabic looks old for a stroller less than 1 yr old. By contrast, I've had wonderful customer service with Bugaboo (higher price end) and Graco (lower price end) on their strollers.

I have the Maclaren quest lulu guiness and it's awesome. It runs so smoothly and is so comfortable for my daughter and stylish as well. The only problem with this one is that it doesnt have a strap that you can tote around on your shoulder like the other maclarens it just has a carrying handle which i'm a little annoyed with but overall it's a great line of strollers maclaren has.

We recently bought this stroller (as our 3rd) and we absolutely love it! It's super light weight and so easy to fold! My daughter is really comfortable in it (she's tall, which a lot of strollers give her a hard time), when we went to buy it, we had her (2 years old) 'test ride' each one and she didn't want to get out of this one (that was it, we were sold)!

I have an old Volo from Maclaren and it has been a dream. The fabric is my only complaint=it is light gray and pale pink and I cannot get it clean. I wish I had a stroller closer to the pictured one above in darker colors for a cleaner look. Would be great for Disney next year!!!

I have a Triumph from Maclaren (one step up from the Volo) and it is a great umbrella stroller. It is lightweight and easy to set up and fold. It doesn't replace a regular stroller though. A few of the cons small storage basket, the seat does not recline all of the way, no cupholders, no child snack tray, easier to tip (because it is so lightweight).

It is a nice small stroller to have in your car but I think it is a little overrated for the price. You are paying for the name!

I've had this stroller for three years and love it - it is the one we use the most. It will be making its first trip to DisneyWorld next week, and I know we'll be glad we brought it. Yes, it is a little bit lacking in the storage department, but it more than makes up for that with its easy steering, lightweight and easy foldup and carry.

A girlfriend has a Maclaren and I've always been impressed by how much easier it is for me to maneuver than the umbrella style stroller I had for my oldest (now 4). I'm 5'11 and it's by far the most comfortable stroller I've ever used. Now that my youngest is getting to where she can transition into this style of stroller, we're seriously considering making life easier & more comfortable and shelling out the extra $$ for a Maclaren this time around.

I agree with rebeccaluv. This looks like a glorified umbrella stroller. I understand its probably a bit more rugged than a regular umbrella stroller, but if Im wanting sturdy and strong Im going to use my regular stroller. I cant see paying this much for something like this....

Maclaren is the best! We don't have this particular stroller but we do have the Maclaren Volo. Maclarens manuveur the best, you can even steer with one hand if needed, and it is the roomiest umbrella stroller for a tall or big child. It folds up in mear seconds also. The only part I do not like is the storage. It has a very small basket underneath but no cupholders. But other than that it is definitly a product I would continue to buy.

We bought one almost 2 years ago. It is very easy to use and light weight and does not take up a lot of room in you trunk. The one we bought has adjustable handles- that is great cause my husband is taller and can adjust the handles to his liking. On the back there are pockets to put things and a small basket under the stroller but I wish there was a place to set you drink by the handle bars. That is the only bas thing that I have to say about the stroller.

I am thinking about purchasing an umbrella stroller after borrowing a friend's on a recent trip to a waterpark hotel; however, I am concerned about the "cheap" factor that goes along with the more inexpensive strollers. I think it would be neat to test this stroller out to see how it compares to a regular old umbrella stroller. It would be great to get the chance to test it out so that I can pass along my opinions to all my friends that are new mommies!! There is nothing more frustrating then paying for a product, either cheap or expensive, only to find that it does not meet your needs so you have to go and spend the money to buy a second product that does meet your needs---how frustrtating!!!

I love my Triumph but I definitely use it as my "extra" stroller. It's nice and compact and lightweight so I use it when I'm going somewhere that's tough to manuever around when I have a stroller like a restaurant, coffee shop or smaller store. For everyday use, I definitely need more storage space- something the Triumph is definitely lacking in. But I definitely love it and would recommend it to anyone.

I purchased the Triumph after being frustrated with my bulky Graco travel system stroller and I am IN LOVE. The Graco was great with the snap on car seat, but I won't go anywhere without my Triumph now. It's super easy to use and lightweight. The baby doesn't get bumped around as much as with the larger stroller

I do wish it had more storage space, a cup holder, and a tray for the kiddo.

I love it because it is SO light and portable. We have a Bugaboo Frog, but sometimes it is so much easier to grab the Maclaren and go versus deal with putting the other one together. Our oldest really loves it. The only negative is that because it is so low to the ground it is very easy for the 2 year old to jump out and grab EVERYTHING on every shelf in a store.

We have a Maclaren Techno XT and love it. It is light and easy to fold up and put in the trunk. The only thing with I belive all the Maclarens is there is that the basket is really small and hard to reach and there is no tray for my son if he has a sippy cup. They should make an attachment for the side so toddlers can hold onto to their cups.

It's been years since I had to use strollers, but I always purchased Maclaren in the past for my daughter and twin boys. My british friend had one and I fell in love with it. I traded in my brand new American made stroller for the Maclaren. Then when I had twins I got the double (actually purchased two for two different homes). We spent tons of money on them, but never regretted it for a moment. They had the best rain cover then available. Good for Chicago weather. I bet 20 years later they are still in the top 5 of strollers. I remember one particular thing I appreciated and that was the handles were nice and tall. I'm tall & I didn't have to stoop over to push.

We travel often and the baggage handlers aren't very careful and have broken other strollers...not this one. The recline is great too for sleeping kids. It's so easy to get around. The wheels aren't huge and you can get in and out of small spaces very easily. I can carry the stroller in one hand and my baby in the other going up or down stairs if necessary.

We have the Triumph as our stay in the trunk/take the train to the city stroller. It works ok for those purposes. I would never use it as our regular stroller, though, because I walk EVERYWHERE and the tiny wheels lurch to a stop on the slightest bump in the sidewalk. I suppose it would be a much better choice for you if you just used it in,say, the mall. My biggest complaints: we have the drink holder/bag attachment for the back since it has no storage and the whole stroller tips over from just a water bottle being in the holder (!). Also the sunshade is useless. We bought the double now that #2 has arrived and it's so cumbersome that we've only used it one time so far! It's easier for me to just put baby in the Ergo carrier and push #1 in our BOB revolution stroller (a DREAM!, by the way)

I bought this as it is super compact and I have a small car. (My nice SUV type stroller doesn't fit) :o( I think my little boy was spoiled by his first big, comfy stroller. He does not like this one much! He usually does not like to stay in it longer than 45 minutes. I think it is just uncomfortable for him. Its hard to nap in it and he usually likes to lean forward in his other stroller. Unfortunately there is nothing to lean on with this stroller. Storage is limited and there are no cup holders or extras. The seat is easy to wash which is nice! It is sturdy & turns on a dime too, compared to other strollers that seem shaky and wobbly. Its easy to fold and open when you get the hang of it. As much as my son doesn't like to stay in it for too long, I like it for quick trips around town.

Be careful though.... if you put your bags on the handles and take your little one out, the stroller with flip over as its so light.

I have a Maclaren and I love it. The wheels steer easily, smooth to push around, easy to pack up. It's barely larger then you're typical umbrella stroller, but sturdy and made for people taller then 5'4! (Thank you!) Well worth the cost.

I just the older model of this stroller but am excited to see how it works out. I've found that too often with the baby stuff I get the latest and greatest and my daughter ends up not liking it, but I've spent too much. I've only heard great things about the Maclaren, and I see them all around town.

Maclaren strollers are the best. They are lightweight, manuever great in those tight store aisles and have a pretty decent basket at the bottom. I have a MacLaren Ryder which is pretty similar. Only wish that it had a cup holder.

    This sounds very interesting.

I have two children, one 3mths and the other 2.5yrs. I'm looking for a stroller that I will work with each of them when we are doing errands. I currently have a double stroller, but I'm looking for a single that can be left in my car for day to day outings and traveling. I'd ideally like something that is lightweight & versatile. This would be a great product to test out.

I have a 3mo old that we are currently using the bulky Graco travel system. It works well but is very large and hard to move around tight stores. This one sounds very interesting and usefully being more lightweight and easier to move then what I have. I may have to check it out.

I would love to give this stroller a try . I have a 4,3,2 and a 1 year old . It does not look as bulky as our full size one but it looks like is a lot better than our umbrella stroller. My husband wont use the umbrella one because its to short for his this one looks like its a little taller the color looks great too!

Love: lightweight, easy to maneuver, folds up with one hand and easily, carrying strap, stylish Don't Love: good size basket but hard to get to, and no cup for keys, coffee, etc.

I love it, it is lightweight, has a carrying strap, has stylish fabrics, is a good height for a 6ft tall Mom. However, my son is still getting adjusted to sitting so far back (in his Bumbleride stroller he sits upright and can lean forward more easily) and there is limited space for storage, no cup for drink, etc.

My girlfriend has one of these, and I've pushed it around quite a bit, and love the material, which seems lightweight, but very durable, as well as the quality engineering of the stroller, yet is so NOT heavy!

I've looked into this stroller for my soon to be 2yr. old, but they are a little too pricey for our budget, though.

We have had this since our daughter was born 3 1/2 years ago and now use it with my son 10 months. Love how it is like an umbrella stroller but much sturdier. My only complaint is that I've found mine to be very hard to open and close. Definitely can't do it with one hand.

I have the Maclaren Twin Techno. After buying and returning or reselling a few other strollers, in my opinion the Maclaren definitely makes the best double on the market. It feels sturdy & luxurious, it's light, and folds compact, and the sleek styling gets so many complements. I would love to try the Maclaren Triumph Stroller too. With an infant & toddler how great it be to have a single stroller my husband or I could use when we were out with just one of our babies!
