Hi. I have a 7 year old son that is high functioning autism, disruptive behavior disorder, sensory processing disorder and ADHD. He loves squishy toys. I search every store I go into for new squishy toys that I can buy and set aside for presents for him or emergency stash. We have a ton of sensory toys and therapeutic items that can help calm him. I am still searching for that one thing that is guaranteed to grab his attention when he is getting angry and to calm him. I know this is a very hard thing for most people with kids on the autism spectrum. Let me know if you need any suggestions. I am always open to suggestions also. I use FUNANDFUNCTION.COM for the main place that I get a lot of my sensory items.

I have 3 kids and all of them are ASD. My youngest are 3 and 4 going on 4 and 5. They were born 9 months apart so it's definelty been a struggle but I have been blessed with awesome service providers through the Early intervention program that really helped teach us all along the way!

My son is almost 3 and is not talking. I'm waiting for his referrals to go through so he can start speech therapy . I just wish there is a way I could understand more of what he is trying to say.
