I think as long as you can properly care for them it is okay to have the number of animals you want. But hoarding of 10 or more is hazardous to them and your health

As many as you are financially and physically able to care for or as many as your city allows! #Animal lover

Honestly, as long as you can care for them completely (physically, emotionally, financially, etc.) have as many as you want. Well, and as many as your city allows. Some places have rules and regulations on pets.

I love animals but have a strong preference to dogs. I have 2 at the moment but if I had the space and money I'd probably have a few more. For most people of average means, I think over 2 is too many.

I currently have 4 dogs, 2 cats, several fish, a parakeet and a Paint Quarter horse. If my husband would allow it, I would have more. I love animals

I have a family memebr that has 5 dogs and 6 cats. That is way to much in a 2 bedroom house. She does have a big backyard, and they are well taken care of. But I can not imagine that many moths to feed.

I have 2 golden retrievers. But I also have 4 children, who take up most of my time. Sometimes I feel like these two are too much. I agree that there is no flat number, you have to consider your other responsibilities.

As many as possible!! Even if you go over the city limit, keep them indoors, keep them healthy, happy, nurtured , loved and you will receive more love than you could ever imagine.

I think its preference as long as you can take care of them and afford to take them to the vet annually for needed vaccines and have them fixed!

As many as you can afford, have time to care for. Although, I think most people shouldn't get a dog. Because they often eventually don't give them the proper amount of exercise and attention that dogs deserve. They are pack animals and need lots of interaction with their human pack. Fish on the other hand could be a different story.
