For those of you fortunate to receive this book, what did you think? I really liked it and found it very interesting. It really made you think what it must have been like for a young Victoria to be Queen at such a young age and to have all those power hungry people in her life. It certainly would be hard to know who to trust. She did seem to be a very strong person who definitely had compassion for others. #VictoriaNovel #ad @StMartinsPress @SheSpeaksUp

I received a free copy from SheSpeaks for an honest review. I absolutely loved this book. It was an easy read where it flowed from the moment "Alexandrina" wishes that she becomes queen after her 18th birthday. It was written with all the emotion and drama surrounding a young girl whose mother and 'advisor' attempt to control her. Her first act of independence is to make sure that she is called Victoria. Once she becomes queen, you see her developing into a compassionate person who is willing to learn and wants what is best for her people. I enjoyed that her story was told in 3 parts from becoming the queen who relied on Lord Melbourne exclusively to eventually learning to be an independent queen relying on herself. I also enjoyed receiving the invitation to read the book along with the tote which made me so very excited to begin reading this book. I totally recommend this book.
